In times of exams, bridge has also it's application. Fred Gitelman, BBO author and one of Canada's top players once said at a tournament:
"Well, that was not the kind of first board that I had been hoping for... Being able to get over bad results quickly is important if you want to win at this game... We had alot of boards ahead of us and getting annoyed on the first board was not going to help us score well in the rest of the event... Hopefully things would improve."
They pushed their opponents to game and doubling them when their opponents could have played in a partscore. Anyway, true enough things got better and they won USA which was an all-time strong team.
Just change "board" to "paper", "we" to "I" and "event" to "exams"
=) Happy studying!
